Week 7
So as I have
been working on my computer for the last 6 hours and my eyes are going buggy
from staring at the computer screen, today’s blog will be short!
Hockey update
Last weekend’s
hockey went like this…. Darren played Friday night but I missed it as I worked
the meat draw at the Legion to raise
money for our 4H group… but they won! Saturday he played in Carberry for Game 2
of the playoffs… they lost and forced Game 3 on Sunday in Reston! Meanwhile on
Sunday Trevor played in Brandon – and they lost – made Brandon very happy for
their win, as they have been looking to beat us for awhile! Then we were off to Reston for Darren’s Game
3… GREAT game! And they won! So now they take on Killarney in a best of 3
series… will see what happens there… that round starts tomorrow! Darren’s AAA Steel practices have started
now, so that will add a bit more to my crazy existence! Trevor is off in Swan
River today (luckily they took a bus) and are currently tied at 3 after 2….
Darren is glued to his iPad whilst I work away at homework…the crunch is on!
Tech
talk!
So this
week we broke into groups to make a movie!
Oh yay…. However… what a cool idea to do with middle years and senior
years students! Even though I get to
star in this movie, the process has definitely been interesting and
challenging! We used my son’s iPad to
video, I uploaded the videos to a google drive account so we can all access the
videos (which didn’t work well when my wifi wouldn’t), then I used Green Screen
by Do Ink to edit my video. Thursday
night I spent 2.5 hours editing and figuring out how to use it… I was fairly
satisfied with my product, but wanted to add something else… whatever I clicked
on next erased ALL of my hard work as I hadn’t saved it…. BAD move… however,
Friday in 30 minutes, I was almost able to get it back to where I had it. I wonder why I get frustrated with technology…
hmmmm. However, once I get some other
homework caught up to where I am fairy happy with it and if I can manage to rip
the iPad back out of my son’s hands, then I will see what else I can do with
it. I hope I can add some music? Make my
cohort’s voices louder? Add something that seems to be missing… maybe a dancing
robot… hmmmm will see….
TTFN
Connie!
